Leonards Losers Tribute 2017 Week 6 College Football Picks
October 5, 2017 – Week 6
Alabama at Texas A&M
Alabama travels to College station to take on the Aggies of A&M. Folks seem to have forgot the A&M’s lone loss of the year was a crazy game against UCLA that they controlled most of the game. The Aggies still have the team to have a lot to say about the SEC West. Alabama has found a new gear crushing Vandy on the road and Ole Miss at home by a combined score of 125-3. Yikes. This will be A&M’s toughest test so far and the home crowd will be jacked up for this one. I the Tide is just too strong for the Aggies this year and Alabama should remain undefeated.
Zanes Zero – Texas A&M
Arkansas at South Carolina
The Hogs leave the pen to slop around in the chicken coop with the Gamecocks this Saturday. South Carolina is 3-2 on the year and need to generate more offense. Arkansas is 2-2 and do not have a quality win yet; the Razorbacks do not want to fall under 500 but they will have a hard time to overcome the Gamecocks in the Columbia. South Carolina should win this game but I am calling the upset on the road for the Razorbacks.
Zanes Zero – South Carolina
Georgia at Vanderbilt
The Dawgs head to Nashville to take on the Commodores in a SEC East tilt. Vandy came up short against the Gators last week and things probably won’t get any easier against Georgia. Georgia was in Knoxville last week and dominated Tennessee 41-0. Vandy always seem to give Georgia a tough time – especially at home. I don’t the Dawgs have too much to fear this Saturday.
Zanes Zero – Vandy
LSU at Florida
The Tigers head to the swamp to take on the Gators of Florida this Saturday. The Gators have lived a charmed life considering all of the suspensions and injuries that have taken place. Since their opening loss to Michigan the Gators have won 3 in a row. LSU is 3-2 on the year and suffered an embarrassing loss to Troy last week. Ouch! These are 2 teams that are not living up to expectations but I think Florida runs out of luck this week as the Tigers play with more purpose.
Zanes Zero –Florida
Michigan St. at Michigan
The Wolverines visit host their in state rival this week in Ann Arbor. Both teams are ranked and playing well; the Wolverines are undefeated and has the team that can run the table the rest of the way. The Spartans are 3-1 with a tough loss to Notre Dame but a nice win against Iowa. The winner of this game gets one step closer to playing still has a shot at making it to the Big Ten Championship game. Anything can happen in rival games but I think the home team is ready to separate themselves from their in state rival.
Zanes Zero – Michigan St
Ole Miss at Auburn
The Rebels continue their tour of Alabama as they take on Auburn this week. Ole Miss suffered their second loss on the year last week as Alabama destroyed the Rebels 66-3. Auburn has been playing well lately, since their loss to Clemson, Auburn has played better offense and are 4-1 on the year. Auburn has a chance to make the Iron bowl real interesting if they keep winning and they should send the Rebels home 0 for Alabama.
Zanes Zero – Ole Miss
Louisville at NC State
The 4-1 Cardinals head to Raleigh to take on the Wolfpack of NC State in a Thursday night showdown. The Wolfpack are 4-1 on the year with a nice win against Florida State; their only loss was in their opener against South Carolina. State is balanced on both sides of the ball and should win however; Lamar Jackson can take over games with his legs and his arm. This is a coin flip game but I think Louisville wins on the road.
Zanes Zero – NC State
Wake Forest at Clemson
The Deamon Deacons head south to Death Valley to take on the Clemson Tigers. Clemson is undefeated on the year and manhandled Virginia Tech in Blacksburg last week. Wake Forest had Florida State on the ropes last week and should have won; the loss was their first of the season. Wake is playing well but severe orange reality check awaits.
Zanes Zero – Wake Forest
Virginia Tech at Boston College
The Hokies head north to Beantown to take on the Eagles of Boston College. BC has started out with a rough schedule taking on Clemson, Notre Dame and now Virginia Tech. Tech lost their first game of the years last week to Clemson and look to get back to their winning ways in Boston. I think the Hokies will accomplish their goal and leave Boston with the win.
Zanes Zero – Boston College
Miami at Florida State
The Hurricanes head to Tallahassee to take on the Seminoles of Florida State. Florida State picked up their first win on the year by coming back against Wake Forest. Yikes. Miami is 3-0 on the year and had a nice against Duke last week. Florida State’s season has fallen deeply below expectations; and will fight hard against their in state rival. I think Miami has momentum on their side and will go to Tallahassee and beat the Seminoles.
Zanes Zero – Florida State
Penn St. at Northwestern
The Nittany Lions head West to take on Northwestern in a Big Ten showdown. Penn State is 5-0 on the year and rolled Indiana last week 45-14. Northwestern is 2-2 on the year and seem to be in a rebuilding mode this year. That’s too bad for the Wildcats because Penn State is going to roll into town with a wrecking ball and leave 6-0.
Zanes Zero – Northwestern
California at Washington
The Berkley Bears head to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Huskies of Washington. The Huskies are 5-0 on the year and appear to be the class of the PAC 12. Cal is 3-2 on the year and have a couple of nice wins against North Carolina and Ole Miss. I think the Bears are going to leave Washington 3-3 as the Huskies should dominate at home.
Zanes Zero – Cal
